VR-10 Gasoline Pump Computer
VR-10 Gasoline Pump Computer
The VR-10 provides the durability and reliability
expected from mechanical computers at posted prices
up to $10.00 per gallon. Exceptionally versatile, it
can be equipped with various options such as pulse
generators and electric reset for self-serve
operations. A factory installed "Quick Change"
gearbox can be ordered for fast conversion to the
metric system.
The VR-10 Mechanical Gasoline Pump Computer provides
transaction capability at prices up to
$10.00-per-gal Ion and total sale capacity up to
$1,000.00. An exclusive right-hand money wheel with
an injection molded acetal resin clutch gear and
gold resources provides $1.00 per revolution. The
new resources are large, easy-to-read figures in the
configuration: 00, 10, 20, 30, 40, 50, 60, 70, 80,
90 with graduation marks at 0, 2, 4, 5, 6, and
8-cents. These resources are permanently surface
printed onto the wheel, providing accurate and
repeatable positioning. An adjustable pointer
permits convenient conversion of the display from
2-cent to 5-cent intervals.
The clutch used in both the right-hand money and
quantity wheels has high resolution (300 serrations)
and a knife edge drive pawl that extends to the
outer surface of the clutch serrations. The result
is a more precise and repeatable positioning of the
wheels at the zero point during reset. Gear
reduction to the right-hand money wheel is
accomplished with a unique worm gear drive resulting
in improved wheel stability and minimizes the effect
of money wheel speed on the overall gear system. A
significant reduction in the speed of the right-hand
money wheel has been accomplished, offering even
greater operational life characteristics.
The $1.00 right-hand money wheel with 2 or 5 cent
graduation marks requires compatible pulser and
self-service equipment.
The VR-10 accepts Series 7874 Pulser/Totalizer and
barrier circuit retrofits kits. The VR-10 is
compatible with all V-R and competitive electric
resets. When equipped with pulser and electric
reset, these computers provide the total capability
needed to interface with equipment for remote
authorizing in self-service, data transmitting,
inventory control and information collection
systems.
